Tom provided an excellent service of my Olivetti typewriter which I had purchased second-hand. He brought the machine back to life which I am grateful for. I would recommend his services.

Sellers communication is nothing but A* extremely helpful and understanding. I would highly recommend purchasing. The typewriter was packed and delivered very well with clear instructions for opening. The typewriter itself works perfectly, a very high standard of repair/restoring and deep cleaning has been carried out. 100% recommend

Absolutely fantastic typewriter, delivered with care and with complete instructions.

I’m so pleased with this product . It was well prepared , wrapped and was delivered in good time .

Item was very well-packaged for overseas shipment. Seller took great care and attention to detail, and extremely proactive with his communication!

Seller was incredibly generous in answering all my questions as a first time buyer of a typewriter. The typewriter was packed with great care and was accompanied by very helpful instructions not only on its care but on how to unwrap the typewriter so as to protect its more delicate parts. It is in beautiful condition and exactly as described. I’m over the moon!

I was very nervous about purchasing my first typewriter—and about doing so online. I had reached out to several typewriter refurbishers for guidance on what sort of machine to consider. We settled on an Olympia SF or Splendid. So much research. When I finally landed on TheWriteTyper store, I was skeptical of all the glowing reviews about Tom's customer service. So many of them mentioned him by name. I reached out and am very happy that I did. His responses set my mind at ease about the type of work performed on the machine, his methods of packing for safe transport, and about any support that might be needed after purchase. The process could not have gone smoother, and now I am happily typing on a wonderful little Splendid 66. Thank you Tom!

This is a perfect combination of industrial design and function. The presentation of the typewriter is exquisite, and Tom clearly takes immense care in cleaning and restoration. The decals are superb and typewriter action silky smooth. The body of the typewriter is polished to a high gloss. I appreciate the replacement leather carrying handle which matches the case.
Packaging was exemplary with careful protection of the carriage against any risk of damage in transit. Detailed typewritten instructions were included specific to this model, and personalised to the purchaser (me). I am delighted to own a vintage 1940s typewriter with Dutch keyboard so that I can write to friends in the Netherlands using the ij digraph. The italic f key (guilder or florin) is sadly now a historical curiosity.

Gorgeous typewriter, arrived in good time, very well packed and as described. Comprehensive unpacking instructions including a few general maintenance hints. Excellent communications from Tom made the whole purchase process smooth and trouble free. I'm absolutely delighted with the typewriter. Many thanks.

Typewriter made it safely and quickly to Alaska thanks to expert packaging. Included detailed instructions with how to safely unpack, along with tips and basic care instructions. All I can say is Wow! It was cleaned, tuned up with a new ribbon and ready to go. It’s in excellent shape, typing beautifully. This machine will be well loved and cared for—it might just be my new favorite. I highly recommend this seller if you’re looking for a solid typewriter for use.

Tom was very helpful and sent me great info about this particular typewriter. It was well and safely packed, showing good knowledge of the risks attached with posting a typewriter. It arrived in great shape, super clean, typing like a dream ! Thank you Tom !

Delighted with this typewriter. Thank you for the great service.

The item was exactly as described. The seller was extremely helpful and provided lots of information about my purchase. My order was posted and delivered quickly. The item was packaged very well and found its way to me safely.

Tom was so helpful. The typewriter is in great condition and he even sent me some instructions on how to best care for it!

Absolutely GORGEOUS, good-as-new Lettera 32. I love it! And I love the personal touch Tom puts into all his typewriters (this my second from him). He tells you exactly what he has done to it, writes a note and includes it with the typewriter explaining in more detail and keeps almost daily contact with you as your typewriter heads home. I live in Washington state, USA and his packing is IMPECCABLE! I will always return to Tom for wonderful customer service and quality typewriters!
